miles for veterans

On July 4th, 21 veterans and supporters will arrive in Georgetown Waterfront Park in Washington, D.C. after bicycling 335 miles from Pittsburgh.

The diverse group of cyclists includes Vietnam Veterans to Veterans who served in the recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as military supporters. The cycling team will leave Pittsburgh on Thursday, June 30th and endure the Great Allegheny Passage Trail and the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal trail all to raise money and awareness for military veterans in need. Follow their journey on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag: #335miles4vets

Each rider is participating in 335 Miles for Veterans to raise money for the men and women who go to Veterans Leadership Program of Western Pennsylvania during their critical time of need whether it is a housing crisis, financial crisis or unemployment. In just four months, the team has raised more than $25,000!
